hara aum bharath... I donot get what you exactly mean by finance sector... If you want something related to share market commodity market then you have got specific courses for that..If you mean over all exposure and taking a lead as a finance analyst then CA has got much value and it will be very helpful to you even in our current field.... If you wanna hardcore finance exposure that too in manufacturing concern then you can go for ICWA... However you have to undergo practical training for 3 years in case of CA and you have something like that in CWA too... CA is always the better option as you can venture a lot... You have so many classes for that and exposure would be very good...You can directly takeup PCC course in CA... You will be having all the details in our Institutes official website.... All the best...

CPT is universal for all. direct entry into PCC isn't possible.

so Mr. Venkata, if u r ready to give up ur job and have developed a passion for CA, u can take the plunge. But you shud first go thro' the CA syllabus and then take the decision.

Think CPT is required only if you dont hava any graduation... Though you hold non science degree you are directly eligible for PCC...55% is required...

1. do u have a clear cut view abt ur goal{what u wanna b ultimately)

2.r u ready 2 get back into studies coz its difficult 2 get back aftr workng for 3 years

3. can u afford 2 spare 3 dedicated years for d completion of d course

4. u must b ready mentally,financially ,physically nd emotionally

mIne is the same situation i have set up my  mind to give 3 years and i have quit my job and registered for Dec CPT but i also got a percentile of 99.53 last year in CAT but didn't get thru IIM I can i pursue both CA and MBA and how difficult it would b i am ready put in my everything mentally and emotionally.what books should i go through for CPT and i have only 3 months but i have time to do that ............

i lik ur goal nd confidence par things are'nt d way we lik them to be. so lets think practically

ca nd mba at a time ... not possible (almost) bcoz  u wont b permitted by d institute in d first case nd if u wanna go for correspondence that doesn't serve d purpose moreover it will b extremely difficult since u have articleship which kills almost half  of d day. now comin 2 CPT  what were ur coresubjects in grad or +2 level? based on that (fundamental strength) its bttr to choose books  if it was science all d way .Q.APTITUDE will b a cake walk

1. accounts  bttr undergo coaching if u r 2 start from basics

2.4 law nd economics institute mat is good  for first round

for quick revision ( bfor xams) u can go for SCANNER

start preparing first don't think tooooo much right now

i never told that iam leaving job and going for CA.i want  to do it simantaneously.

i will never quit my job.because i am getting very goog package now.in two years i will get some good package.

so i dont want to quit the job.i wan to do it simantaneously.if i do it i will get even much bigger salary packages.

so tell me which is best CA or ICWA or CIMA.

i wan the best.And i also want one friend who is currently starting or doing CA or ICWA

because i have no friends doing that course.

without quitting ur job u cant do CA yaar coz u hav 2 undrego articleship for 3.5 years which is mandatory . i'm doing CA . what do u mean by best . it depends, first go through syllabi nd procedure of all d 3 courses nd letz b friends

And also about the scope of career opportunities after doing it. Since both the Software Dev and Finance are completely diff.

UR HUNCH FOR PROFESSIONAL DEGREE IS GOOD. But you have to leave ur job to do articleship of 3.5 years. in case u do not leave ur current job and continue training than it will be straight violation of the institutes guidelines.. plus no one gets exemption from appearing for cpt to join the course.. so please make a calculated decision .. for all that glitters is not gold.
