Help needed for cpt registration

I am student of class 12 and will be appearing for my board exams this March(2016). I am confused as to will i be eligible for the June 2016 attempt of CPT and when will i have to register for it (for whichever attempt i will be eligible). Please help and if possible, kindly provide a step by step procedure for the registration process.

Yes you need to get registered and once you are done with it,you will be eligible for June 2016.

Some of my friends told me that I will be eligible for the November attempt, plus i read an announcement on the BOS announcement portal that somewhat said that after passing class 12 exams, the student shall be eligible for November attempt(this was exactly what caused the confusion).Are you sure about it?

That's not correct !! If you register yourself before march 31, 2016 then you will be able to give June attempt.

Thanks for that. Just wanted to ask one more thing!! Many people have told me that the syllabus and CPT pattern (that there will be 4 exams under the "foundation exam"/CPT) will be changed by the time i will be appearing for CPT. But the CPT prospectus on ICAI website shows the same syllabus and exam pattern. So is it that it will be changed soon or is not going to change for some time now?

As per my understanding, If you register yourself under old course then new course will not be applicable to you unless ICAI issues any specific guidelines regarding the same.

So even if the course is changed after your registration, that new course would not be applicable to you.
