@ Tejaswini

I hope you are in PCC. I suggest you to follow the below books for doing practical problems:

Accounts - Hanif & Mukherjee or PC Tulsian (if u hv time)
Law ethics n communication - Inst module or Munish Bhandari
Costing and FM - P C Tulsian
Taxation - Singhania

Regarding theory i strongly advise you to stick to institute module first, if u hv still time and want to know other contents then refer the books as mentioned above. After going our revised inst. study material,  i personally found that it is really nicely explained and simple to understand and remember. One can learn the concepts easily paritcularly FM from module.

However, in addition to above, u MUST complete all suggested answer (to know way of presentation of your answers in exam) and RTP, MTPs being posted in ICAI website. You can download the revised study material for IPCC if you are interested, from the below link.

https://www.icai.org/post.html?post_id=5720&c_id=314

In that link u can see 'Study Material' which was given by ICAI in Q&A format for all subjects covering previous years exam papers also and way of presentation is good, so u download those and start studying them from today. If you already have downloaded above things, you can ignore. As you already have completed all reading part for earlier attempts, i hope its possible for you to study the above materials also now, this well help you in scoring good marks and do revisions if u hv time.

Particularly in law observe the Study Material Q&A format with respect to how they have presented the answers. In the same you try to write in your next attempt, some important sections and caselaws are needed to score more marks.

All the best. I hope this will be your last attempt. Wish u a happy independence day.

Dont EVER change the books. Just keep on trying.

.

The feeling you get after writing the exams decides whether you should change the books or not, not after the results.

.

Also, remember one thing. You got 137. It means that if the result % was 18 instead of 13, you must have passed. Simple. Dont change your study strategy. Do whatevr you were doing with more passion and BETTER PRESENTATION.

go for Single Group.

one of my friend give both group 2 times. but he could not clear any.

in 3rd attempt  he gave only one group and got passed in that. now he is appearing in other group. so break the problem in 2 parts.

go for both the grps in the next attempt....by the way u told abt ur marks, the problem seems to be in presentation..wat abt ur other scores..u only mentioned law n  perhaps ur best sscores...concentrate on ur weakness or the subs where u scored less n revise the subs in which u r good at end...good luk...first time wen i wrote, my least was 20 in cost..next time it was my highest with 60..so if u wanna pas, study those subs more where u got less.....

Important Suggestions for PCC and IPCC Students for Exams

hi tejaswini..........dont get dipressed

about law i just want to say u that create interest in law. i got 65 in first attempt may 10 just becoz i lik law n u knw i didnt write any single section. so just create the interest, as u knw in law there would be maximum case studies.......so first of all clear ur basics so u can attempt the case studies easily...if u can cram then cram the sections.....i knw after u'l get more in 70's

and also prepare ur accounts, tax n cost n fm so that u can score high

Hey, don't worry you will clear the exams. In law and tax you got 58 and 57 but I suggest you make strong your subjects of COSTING and ACCOUNTS and ensure you get 60+ any how and you have prepared well your law and tax so in that subjects you need proper revision only. But do hardwork in practicals ok if you get more then 60 in both subjects then you will surely clear both groups.

Try to attempt maximum even 100% and you can do this only when you are fully prepared ok. And refer compilations of institute for the subjects like Audit and Law and learn the way of answering which is provided in that. By doing all these you will surely clear your both groups.

Best of Luck.......

Before exams, take mock tests of each subjects and judge ur preparation accordingly. In exams, always try to attempt whole 100 marks paper and do'nt leave any question unanswered. Also point out ur mistakes and work hard on them by examining last 2 attempts suggested answers of the institute. Forget the past, but never forget the lessons that u have learned from them.Go for both groups and determine in ur mind that u have to clear this time at any cost. All the best.

Many of us know the answer of a question but in exams we get confused what to write, from where we have to start, how long we have to attempt the theoritical answer, how much gap we have to leave if we r unable to answer the que...........etc......etc........ Here, r some points which will helps u to get alonwith good marks in theoritical subjects... 1. Answer to the point and be brief. Valuator does not have ample time to read your answer paper thoroughly. They will abundantly make use of scanning technique........... 2. Present your points as a list wherever possible. This will increase the chances of the point being read by the valuator. Number the points numerically instead of alphabetically.... 3. Questions that use words such as describe and discuss require longer narrative answers. Present such answers in paragraphs with appropriate headings.......... 4. Present examples and illustrations frequently........... 5. Underline key words in your answers. This is a must to enhance of your point being noticed by the valuator........... 6. Tabulate the comparative points (in a columnar fashion), when you answer questions asking for comparison of alternatives, techniques, opinions, etc......... 7. Avoid writing long and descripttive answers that take up yours as well as valuator time. They test the patience of the valuator and it is risky to do so............. 8. When you forget some points when writing the examination, leave some space and start a new answer. You can return later and complete the previous answer when you recollect the points.... 9. In the case of law, if you are sure of the case laws and sections, provide these in the answer sheet.......... 10. Final students will be expected to give practical examples, application areas and good criticism of the subject matter (in applicable topics)............. BEST OF LUCK

Thank u so much to all .
