There are main 5 head of taxation
Income from salary
income from house property
income from business and profession
income from capital gain
income from other sources
If you are an investor then it is Capital Gain and if your in business related stock market then it is business income
No not necessarily. If the assesse has invested in hybrid funds of ulip then its not a capital gain. It's shown as income from ulip not taxable.
