Hi,

We are a mining company and we supply a material called silicon di oxide mineral powder. We were supplying to two companies in maharastra, for which we raised two invoices and two waybill. Ton rate is 4200. GST officer stopped the vehicle in bidar and he is doubting that we have undervalued the material. I have taken screen shot on indiamart on what other suppliers are selling and its on par with market rates. As we understand rates depend on quality and they vary.

He is acting irresponsible and from three days he has detained the vehicle and he is just saying I need to send to Lab to ensure it is silicon di oxide mineral powder and not some other. He either looks to be mentally retarded or corrupt. He says to release it accept in a letter that you did wrong and pay 60000 as fine, else will keep the vehicle. The transporters are behind me and demaning 4000 per day. as vehicle is held up. Have sent GST officer all document on watsapp. Please suggest remedy for me as dont want to accept mistake which I did not commit and als dont want to pay transporter unneccesarily.

This situation sounds like a nightmare! Dealing with an uncooperative and possibly corrupt official can be frustrating and stressful. Here's a suggested plan to help you resolve this issue: 1. *Escalate the matter*: Contact the GST officer's superior or the head of the department and explain the situation. Provide all the documents and evidence you've already shared with the officer. 2. *Seek legal advice*: Consult a lawyer specializing in GST and transportation law to explore your options and potential legal recourse. 3. *File a formal complaint*: Submit a written complaint to the GST department, detailing the officer's behavior, detention of the vehicle, and the demands for an unnecessary fine. 4. *Reach out to transport associations*: Contact local transport associations or unions for support and guidance. They may have experience dealing with similar situations. 5. *Keep records*: Document every communication, including WhatsApp messages, emails, and phone calls. Also, keep a record of the detention period and any losses incurred due to the delay. 6. *Stay calm and persistent*: It's essential to remain calm and professional when dealing with the officer. Continue to push for a resolution, and don't give in to unfair demands. Remember, you've done your part by providing all the necessary documents. The officer's behavior is unacceptable, and you deserve a fair resolution.
