My client have booked purchase in the month of April'09 but the invoice is relating to F.Y. 2008-09, in which quarter we need to issue H form to the party? Is it as per booking basis or invoice date basis?

Actually the invoice date is 18th March, 2009 but my client has received the invoice on 14th April and booked accordingly. So, is it necessary to go by invoice date? Also if the case falls between two quarters then how to go about?
only photocopy of invoice required to deparment attached with H form application. and get H form from department.
H form to be issued for Apr- June Quarter.
