Hello friends iam a CA Final Student who had taken exams couple of times and failed now if i take up one group in nov 2010 under old syllabus and pass that group i will have to take up remaining group in new syllabus as it is mandatory from may 2011 exams and clear it my question is the remaining group which iam going write in new syllabus which is mandatory from may 2011 will have to be cleared in specified attempts? say 5 or 6 attempts because i would have cleared one group under old syllabus in nov 2010..Shall i have to re-write the passed group under old syllabus again in new syllabus after specified attempts? please guide me.

As per my knowledge, there will be no restricions on attempts to pass remaining group in new course.
But i will personally suggest you to appear for both groups in Nov.2010.
There r no restrictions. u can clear in any no. of attempt.
But, as harishkumar say, i also advice for both group.
If u passed any group in old course, u can got group exemptions in next exam(that is ur new course).
Please u can go for both group in nov'10
