Re: Your Inquiry about CIA Exam

This letter is intended to inform you the latest information as available with us in connection with the CBT {Computer Based Testing} Program which is applicable for all IIA Exams.

It is first beneficial and therefore desirable to become a member of a Chapter in India so that you may avail of the lower scale of Fees payable by members for the CIA Exam. [i.e. .if you are not yet a member] If you are already a member and have got your Member’s ID from Florida, along with Code Password, then you may use the On Line CIA Application Form quoting that number and your password.

The FEES payable to IIA Inc., Florida for the CIA examinations under the CBT Program effective 01st July, 2013 are prescribed as under:

Please note there are no further discounts for India Candidates.

Please do not visit the office without an appointment, as the concerned Officer may be out and the office found locked.  The form and cheque may be sent by post or courier.  The official receipt will be sent the next working day by post or courier.  

IMPORTANT:

You MUST await the Global IIA’s International Membership Number by which alone, you will be able to open the CIA Exam Registration On-Line Form for availing member rates, otherwise only non-member rates become applicable.

The IIA’s online Certification Candidate Management System (CCMS) allows candidates to apply/register for certification programs /exams and access their records online.  Please do not try to register for the exam until you get the International Membership Number and Code Password from Bombay Chapter Office.  Please read the CANDIDATE HANDBOOK very carefully and follow the instructions for creating a profile in the CCMS.

When your application under the CCMS is approved, you will be notified by Global IIA. Against this intimation, you will be required to book your seat at the Site selected by you with the local office of Pearson Vue and fix your appointments with them which should be within 6 months of Registration.

Please comply with all instructions therein very carefully, particularly with reference to your Photo Identification requirements. Original Ids from Government like Passport, Pan Card or Voting Card, etc must be carried with you.  Also ensure that your name in the IIA Registration Application matches exactly with the proposed Id you intend to use. Pearson Vue staff are very sticky on this point and are known to have turned away candidates on flimsy grounds and the exam fee paid is lost.

In addition to the syllabus and instructions contained in CANDIDATE HANDBOOK please also follow other guidance available from their website www.theiia.org , particularly the new Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the International Professional Practices Framework. [IPPF].

STUDY TIME:

The exams are held on a DAILY basis on days to be selected by the candidates themselves at their convenience. It is therefore recommended that you select dates to leave a gap of say 8-10 days between the Parts you intend to appear. This will help you to concentrate your studies on only one Part at a time. There is no prescribed lead time for Registration. Once your Registration is communicated, you should write to Pearson Vue Test Center to book your selected dates which should be within 6 months from the date of Registration

Dear All ,

Request you to kindly help me for enrolling CIA and i have some question if you could answer it really helps me further for pursuation

1. I have done my EPGDM (Executive post graduation from Alliance university ) and did my graduation (Bach  of Banking management ) and having 8 yrs experience in Banking industry specialist in marketing and handling portfolio of corporate client)  - * Am i eligible to do CIA 

2 . If you can guide me what need to done example where to register and how to register and what procedures to follow

3. DO i need to take tutions or if i can go thru with syllabus and online mock test is well enough ??

4. Please share me the part 1 , 2 and 3 syllabus -  Request - pls
