IS IT MANDETORY TO FILE GSTR9 FOR THE TAX PAYER HAVING T.O. BELOW 2CR FOR FY 2019-20?

As per Notification No. 77/2020 dated 15.10.2020 of GST Act, Assessee whose aggregate turnover is below 2 Crore , they need not be required to file annual return.

GSTR 9 is mandatory for every registered person
Whereas, GSTR9C is optional for those turnover is less than 2 crores
Whereas, GSTR9C is optional for those turnover is less than 2 crores

For taxpayers having annual turnover upto Rs. 2 cr in FY 2019-20, filing of GSTR 9 is optional.
