Dear All,

If avail 75% abatement on GTA service tax cenvat credit not available for service tax payment.

A manufacturing unit abated GTA service tax paymnet can setoff in Excise duty payment ??

@ vasu, you cannot take cenvat credit of the GTA taxes paid in cash based on the payment challan. Also GTA tax need to be paid in cash and can;'t be adjusted against the balance service tax credit in hand.

Sir,

For service tax payment i can't avail cenvat credit paid in cash only.

Same payment i can avail in Excise duty setoff ??

The manufacturer after payment of service tax on GTA from PLA accounts, can avail the cenvat credit on duty paid on GTA in regards to excise duty payment.

Yes, service tax paid on rail freight you can utilise the credit for the payment of excise duty.

@ vasu, Iam sorry for giving wrong information, related to excise. Me too make payment of GTA but has not availed the same til date. Checking for the same with my consultant.
