Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the Goods Transport Agency (GTA) reverse charge mechanism (RCM) for GST. If a supplier charges 5% GST on freight, it falls under RCM, meaning you pay the GST to the government and can then claim it back as Input Tax Credit (ITC). To claim ITC directly, you'd need to persuade the supplier to charge 12% or 18% GST instead.

If supplier mentioned 5% gst on freight than you can't take ITC for this if you want to take ITC then convince supplier to charge 12% or 18% gst on frieght
1st pay tax to goverment then take credit as it is rcm
It's only mentioned on transport bill, GTA is comes under RCM.
Are you paid to transporter amount without GST or with GST of 5% ?
Pay 5% GST on RCM and take ITC of the same.
With gst
