GSTR3B Late Fees

Hi, i file GSTR3B of January, 2020 on 9th of June, 2020 in this case late fees of January, 2020 apply or not.

It will apply. late fees were waived for feb, march and april 2020

The Late Fees will be charged as you have already file the same. Further, if you have not filed Gstr 3b then the late fees would be waived off, if you filed between July 20 - Sept 20.

Agree with Pratik Patel. Since you have already filed your GSTR-3B for January 2020 on 09th June 2020 ( before 40th GST Council Meeting held on 12th June 2020 ), Late Fees u/s 47 will be applicable in your case. You are not eligible for Refund of Late Fees. So don't expect for Refund from the Government side.

Yes, late fees will be applicable in your case.

If you have filed your GSTR 3B in the epriod July 20 to Sep 20 then either the fees would have been Nil or Maximum Rs. 500 per return.

As per 40th council meeting from june 17 to jan 2020 gstr 3b late fees is waived for nil returns but I not understand the filling dates because of the applicable date is july1 2020 to 30 September 2020 if I file before 30th june can I get late fees waived scheme as per council meeting

No, late fee will be waived only if you file between july 1 to sep 30

@ Ganesh Sir, Late Fees will be waived or reduced if you file the Returns for the said tax period from 01st July 2020 to 30th September 2020. If you file before that, Late Fees will be applicable. It's your loss.

Wait for the Official Notification.
