GSTR 9C details & limit

Hi,

Our company turnover during FY 19-20 was less than 2Cr. So we didn't file GSTR 9 &  & 9C.

Turnover during FY 20-21 was less than 5Cr. As per govt notification GSTR 9C was optional since we didn't cross 5Cr during or previous FY. So we filed GSTR 9 alone.

But now some said self certification should be done for GSTR 9C.

kindly update on notification regarding GSTR 9C & limit.

Dear Ramachandran
For fy 2017: 20
Aggregate Turnover > 2 crore liable to file Gstr 9 (Annual return )
Aggregate Turnover > 5 crore liable file GSTR 9C (Audit report) Also

From FY 2020-22 :
Aggregate Turnover >2 crore is required to file GSTR 9 and Whose AG turnover Exceeding 5 crore is required to file Self Certificate Reconciliation Statement ,( it's an 9C but without CA certification)

As your Turnover is less than 5 crore as mentioned, you are NOT required to file self Certificate Reconciliation statement (9C) for FY 2020-21

(As per Notification 47: 31, New Section 44 being amended by finace act 2021 r/w rule 80)
