GST wrongly paid

A person was liable to CGST and SGST but he wrongly paid IGST and CESS can he claim refund by filling RFD-01? Can he get refund of GST wrongly paid?

Yes... He can claim refund for the wrongly paid amount.

I think Yes... Bcoz, it's cash payments. So, I think we can get it...

due to technical issues taxpayers have paid wrong amount to the government. Sometimes they pay excess amount. In that case i.e Amount is paid in excess of actually payable to the Government’s treasury, then we will get ITC for that in next tax period. But if there is no liability to set off the ITC, then that amount will be refunded to the taxpayer.

Yes ,.. you can get the wrongly paid cess also , any balance in cash ledger can be claim refund

but refund depends upon amount. because if refund amount is minimal authorities will say why you are wasting our time and yours.
same happened with me
