Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether GST TDS is correctly deducted on payments made to contractors working with MES (Indian Army). The contractor receives payments that include GST, but tax is deducted on the total amount, including the GST component. The consensus is that this practice, while common, may not be entirely correct, as GST TDS and IT TDS should ideally apply to the base price, not the amount inclusive of GST.

GST Tds and IT Tds both are applicable on base price
No but many contractor doing same
@ Modassir Jamal ,
