GST REVERSE CHARGE

Sir / Madam,

I need clarification regarding RCM paid on Government fees whether eligible for ITC.  If yes in which ledger either cash ledger or credit ledger it will reflect in GST portal.

Quick Summary
This discussion seeks clarification on whether the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) paid on government fees is eligible for Input Tax Credit (ITC). It also enquires about the specific ledger (cash or credit) where such ITC would be reflected on the GST portal. The query further asks for clarification on which types of government fees are subject to RCM, particularly concerning trade licenses and fees paid to state governments or local authorities.

what  type Government  Fees  will   please  Clarify  ?.

Government Trade licence

In Which state?
To whom fee is paid, any Central Government, State Government, Union territory or local authority ??
Licence Fee paid to State Government
Fees for trade license under Shop and Establishment Act.??? or any other act ?
Trade name licence fee paid to State Government act
If It's compulsory registration under any act than ...or if fee amount is not more than 5000 than RCM is not applicable. You are not required to Pay RCM.

But if you already paid RCM , than you can take credit of RCM paid in GSTR 3B return.
On govt. taxes and rates govt fees and taxes are never paid.
