Gst registration requirement

A small fast food shop/restaurant without sitting or with sitting wishes to attach his business with Zomato/swiggy, is he required to register in gst , as his turnover is less than 20 lakhs

Will Zomato pay tax under tcs provision or on behalf of restaurant or not. if yes, whether ITC be available to shop keeper

the Zomato charge some amount for its service like 30%, in this case also charge gst, will this ITC can be claimed by shopkeeper/restaurant

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies GST registration requirements for small food businesses partnering with platforms like Zomato or Swiggy. Even if your turnover is below the 20 lakh threshold, you generally do not need GST registration for supplying food services through these aggregators. Input Tax Credit (ITC) is typically not available for food services provided by restaurants.

No itc can be claimed in respect of input and input service used for supply of food service. in case of service, Registration is not required upto turnover of 20 lakh.
Ok,
ITC is not allowed, but my question is in case for online business with Zomato whether he is required to be registered or not
Supply of food by restaurant is considered as supply of service and in case of service registration is not required upto 20 lakh even if he sells through e-commerce aggregator like zomato or swiggy.
