GST registration of service provider

Am planning to start calibration services. While taking gst registration, is it necessary to have a rented building and a rent agreement to take registration for a service provider? Can I take registration in my own residential building without changing status of my residential building to commercial building?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether a service provider needs a rented commercial space and a rent agreement to obtain GST registration. The consensus is that registration can often be done using a residential address, even without formally changing its status to commercial, provided it's permissible within the relevant jurisdiction. Specific details were shared privately to assist the user.

If it is under such jurisdictional area possible.
