Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a query about claiming input tax credit (ITC) for Goods and Services Tax (GST) reverse charge that was paid incorrectly. While it's generally possible to claim ITC for excess reverse charge payments, the timing of the payment and claim is crucial. If the reverse charge was paid in December, the ITC claim should also be made in December. The thread also touches upon potential issues with expired time limits for claiming ITC.

Wrongly paid in the sense???
Is it wrong type , on wrong transaction ?
Yes you can claim ITC of excess paid RCM.
But time limit expired for claiming the itc, what to
do?
When you pay RCM
Rcom on bill 2/4/2019 paid on 18-12-2020

If you made payment then you can claim it as input. Refer below link for more clarification
