At its 15th meeting, the GST Council classified all natural fibres including cotton, cotton yarn, fabrics and readymade garments valued below Rs 1000 under 5 per cent GST rate. Garments valued above Rs 1000 have been classified under 12 per cent GST rate, while the synthetic or man-made fibres and synthetic yarn have been classified under 18 per cent GST rate. Fabric, irrespective of fibre, has been classified under 5 per cent GST rate.
it is export supply , consider as a zero rated, but till date supply under LUT or Bond not eligible , so you have to pay IGST and go for refund. as per news LUT and BOND scherm will be started onwards 01-09-2017.
1) exports are 0 rated hence gst will be charged at 0%,.....you will be allowed full credit on input... 2) rate of gst on job work will be 18 % of the amount charged by job worker.
