GST penalty

hi
I am registered in GST in last year

after that I am not having any business so I didn't filled any return

now when I calculated penality now it's coming around 5 lakhs .

what I had to do.

can I go and talk with department to reduce penality.

is it possible help me

we can't pay that much amount.

No business & No filings from last year, 5 Lakhs...! Please confirm all are nil returns ? if yes, mind the below point while calculating.

According to the recommendation of the GST Council, the late fee shall be completely waived for all taxpayers in case FORM GSTR-1, FORM GSTR-3B &FORM GSTR-4 for the months/quarters July 2017 to September 2018, are furnished after 22.12.2018 but on or before 31.03.2019.

Yeah, but late fee will be calculated from 01-Apr-2019 on wards..

5 lakh not possible. Actually i have also registered in the GST but doing regular GST Return Filing. Now please let me know GSTR9 Filing is Compulsory or not.

For your question. suggest you do nothing. Department may be terminate your GST Automatically for the same.
