GST ON USED CAR

How much rate of GST to collect with the buyer for used car Sales its Cubic Capacity is 1248 and it is Diesel based vehicle then GST Rate is 6% or 9%.I am an individual and buyer also an individual.Kindly Clarify

As per Notification 8/2018 CT (r) :

More then 1500 CC , leanth exceeding 4000 MM, GST is 18%

Else ,.. 12%

As per Notification 8/2018 CGST Rate 6% Exempts in goods and services tax then we pay 6% only SGST on used cars . Kindly Clarify.

No .... you are liable to pay 12% ( CGST 6% + Sgst 6%) .

where it is given that 6% is expempted in the notification ???????

As per mentioned notification CGST Rate Exempts In First Paragraph of the notification Sir date of notification is 25-01-2018.Kindly Clarify.

Dear Meena Kindly read that para full "from so much tax as specified in Schedule IV of NOTIFICATION No. 1/2017 -Central Tax (Rate), AS IN EXCESS of the AMOUNT CALCULATED at the rate specified in the corresponding entry in column (4), of the said Table, on the value that represent margin of the supplier, on supply of such goods. " Mean the rate for vehicle specified in Notification 1 , for vehicle is 28% & it's exempted upper amount mean it's taxable upto the rate specified in table 4
