GST on Rental Income

if a GST dealer whose business turnover is above 2 crores got rent as additional income from his property , is liable to collect GST on rent. please clarify.

if it is a residential property he is not Liable to collect GST. if it's commercial then he is liable

Yes... I agreed to Mr Sundararajan.

If the above said Rental income from Commercial property then GST will be Chargeable.

gst is only applicable on rent if the property is used for commercial purpose. if property is residential but used for commercial purposes then gst also applicable .

dear sir, i have paid rent 1 lac rs.for godam used for commercial purpose.accounting year 2017-2018. ihave not paid gst for the same .also receiver has not paid paid gst.please advice me tax applicability

dear sir, my turnover is above 10 crore and i have paid rent for godam 1 lac is my exp..i donot know receiver status that he is gst registered person or not as he not provide me gst bill or gst no.
