gst on Rental income
A salaried employee in a Private organization earns 18lpa. he recently got a property transferd to his name after the demise of his father which gives a rental income of 4lpa from a commercial source. is he liable for GST on rental income?

No GST on rent on residential Property
So if Rent from commercial Property is more than 20L p.a. then GST is applicable
rent is only 4lpa.but the persona earns 18lpa from his work. which makes total to 22lpa. will he have to get enrolled for gst
no you dnt have to register for GST.
Income Tax is on direct Tax - TDS will be deducted from you Salary
GST is indirect Tax - Rental income
Salary will not come under the GST
