GST on Rent?

If any normal or composite dealer having place of business on rent, whether he need to pay GST on such rent if owner is not registered?

Rental income received from residential house is exempt. But if you have given your unit to commercial enterprise, then it is taxable if you are getting more than Rs 20 lakh as rent

The taxpayer earning more than the exempted threshold will have to register with the GST Network and pay taxes

Thanks experts. but actually I have query from tenant point of view. if I am a registered dealer & having office on rent. So do I need to pay GST on Rent under RCM?
