Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether employers can claim Goods and Services Tax (GST) Input Tax Credit (ITC) on medical insurance policies provided to their employees. The consensus is that if the insurance is a company expense and paid for by the company, then ITC is generally claimable, even if the policy document is in the employee's name, particularly in cases of group insurance.
