GST number Suspend

Respected Members,

My GST number has been suspended. When i visited GST dept, Officer saying that One of Vendor is Fraud from whom i have purchased material. Due to which GST number has been suspended.

He is saying to pay the Outstanding Amount of that Party i.e. 1.54 lacs and then GST number will be reactivated.

But i have already paid the amount through my bank account to that Vendor.

What are the option so that i can reactivate my GST number.

Bcz amount demanded is so high.

Pls advice.

Get proof of payment : Gather all docs showing you ave paid the vendor Rs.1.54 lacs through your bank. This will help prove you have already paid.

Explain your situatio to GST Dept: Head back to the GST dept and explain that you have already paid the vendor. show them your payment proofs and ask if there is a way to resolve this without paying again.

check if there is a mismatch or issue: May be the gst dept. has some issue with the vendor is details or your transaction. Ask them to check if there is a mismatch causing the suspension.

File a representation : You can file a representation with the GST dept. explaining your case, attaching all relevant docs. like payment proofs, invoices, etc.

Since the amount is high, it is worth pushing back and explaining your situation to the GST dept. They might consider your case if you have genuinely paid the vendor.
