GST Nil return filing for a long time

Will there be any consequences if the nil return is filed for a long time? We have been filing gst nil income for almost a year. (We do not have any invoice yet). Thanks in advance.

GST registration may be cancelled by GST officer if a person who has taken voluntary registration under sub-section (3) of section 19 has not commenced business within six months from the date of registration. But it's Power of officers, he may or may not exercise..
