Quick Summary
This discussion seeks clarification on whether hospitals are liable to pay GST on pharmaceuticals sold to inpatients. The core question revolves around whether raising an invoice and receiving payment from the patient necessitates GST collection. It is suggested that if invoices are raised, GST should be charged, but sales made as part of the patient's ongoing treatment might be exempt from GST.

The hospital is raising invoice to Inpatient as well getting money from inpatient? So, need to collect GST
If invoices are raised then GST is to be charged
If sales in the course of treatment then it is exempt from gst.
