Quick Summary
If you've cancelled a land agreement and received an advance payment back, you're likely wondering about GST implications. Fortunately, the sale of land, being an immovable property and not classified as goods, is not subject to GST. Therefore, simply receiving your advance back after cancelling an agreement does not constitute a supply, and no GST is applicable.

There is no GST on sale of Land.

Since land is an immovable property and not falling under goods, hence GST not leviable.

You have just received back your money. There is no supply involved therefore there is no GST applicable.
