Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a business can claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) on capital goods purchased while registered under the GST composition scheme, upon converting to the regular scheme. The consensus is that ITC is generally permissible, provided depreciation has not been claimed on the GST amount paid for those capital goods. Specific rules may apply regarding the reduction of ITC.

Yes registered person is eligible for credit but after reducing ITC as prescribed in rule
Yes he can get ITC of capital goods in such a case provided he has not charged depreciation on GST amount.
