Gst for dairy farm
my friend is maintaning dairy farm in rural area, turnover approx 70 Lakhs. my query is, GST Registration is compulsory for him or not.

No need if your friend is dealing with unprocessed milk.

TO doesn't matters if u are providing only exempted goods
If you are dealing with only excempted goods then no need to take registration.
As per Sec 23. of CGST Act 2017
Persons not liable for registration.
(1) The following persons shall not be liable to registration, namely:––
- any person engaged exclusively in the business of supplying goods or services or both that are not liable to tax or wholly exempt from tax under this Act or under the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act;
