20 November 2017Hi I'm constructing house in chennai thru builder for contract. (80% home arranged thru home loan HDFC)
I want to enquire whether any GST charges i need to pay. Please advise
How much percentage i need to pay to the builder ? And just a clarification - Builder how much he will pay and % any idea ?

If builder/contractor is registered with GST, he will charge 18% over the contracted value.....
If not registered, no gst provided the contract value is below 20 lakhs........
