Just came to know that a few people used fake sales bills and didn't actually make any supply of goods or services. What is the use of producing fake sales bills? Don't they need to pay tax for those bills generated and exchanged? Also, what benefit the receiver get out of this transaction? Can anyone help me understand this with an example?

if the supplier files his sales detail in GSTR1, then only buyer can claim ITC for it.
if the sales Bill is fake, it will not be reflected in gstr2A, so u can't claim ITC .
