1. In GST council meeting, every decision taken should have 75% majority votes (weighted) of the members who are present and voting. The weightage assigned to votes is in the following manner:
Weightage of CG votes: 1/3
Weightage of all SG votes: 2/3
2. Yes, union territories are eligible to vote in GST council meeting.
how come UT vote where they have no independent legislation..
29 states and 2 union territories all taken together are assigned 2/3 weightage in total votes.
Both Delhi and Puducherry have independent legislation.
but in the above you mentioned that uts have voting power.
I would put it correctly now: Only Delhi and Puducherry have voting powers
