a taxpayer having turnover of rs. 2.5 cr in haryana will have to get gst audit done by a CA and what if the same taxpayer is registered in UP with turnover of Rs. 25 lakhs . Will GST audit be applicable in UP too ?

Yes as per aggregate turnover in both state you have to file audited GSTR 9c

GST Audit based on GSTIN, Not for Pan based / Aggregate T/O...

No need to Audit if T/O less than 2cr. Only required Audit 2cr T/O GSTIN.

But, It's not income tax.

GSTIN is State Based with separate registration.

AS PER DEFINATION OF "AGGREGATE TURNOVER" IN SECTION 2(6) SAME PAN TO BE COMPUTED ON ALL INDIA BASIS , & AS PER RULE 80(3) CGST ACT IF THE AGGREGATE TURNOVER EXCEEDS 2CRORE , AUDIT IS MANDATORY

But.,

I (or My Team with My seniors) have one doubt.... For ex : A Taxpayer registered in 10 states. 5 states are above 2cr T/O and other 5 are less than 2cr...

Where wil file Audit?

Where will include Less than 2Cr states?

Where will file GSTR 9 and 9C...?

If all are less than 2cr T/o in the state view but whole T/O exceeds 2Cr then What and Where and Why...?

Please give your valuable solution....

** As per my knowledge the sec 2(6) of CGST Act can't says Audit and it's value with all states T/O...

YES U R CORRECT BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT LAW NOT READ OUT LIKE YOU STATED ,... AS PER RULE 80(3) STATES THAT IF THE "AGGREGATE TURNOVER" EXCEED 2CRORE THE AUDIT IS MANDATORY & IF READ OUT THE DEFINATIONATION OF AGGREGATE TURNOVER ,"SAME PAN IS TO BE COMPUTED ON ALL INDIA BASIS",

HOPE COUNCIL MAY NOTIFY BY GIVING MORE CLARIFICATION IN THIS REGARD. BUT AS OF TODAY , ITS LIKE THAT ONLY

I'm not agreed the word of "THAT ONLY". Bcoz, The T/O based on "GSTIN". Not for PAN based. Bcoz, Every states get separate SGST ACT and Audit will be conducted by State Wise...
