Quick Summary
If you haven't filed GST 3B returns since September 2019 and wish to close your company, you must first file all outstanding returns. While late fees and penalties may apply, filing is crucial to prevent the assessing officer from cancelling your registration. After filing, you'll need to submit your annual return and then apply for cancellation, followed by a final return to formally close your firm.
First of all file all your Returns. Otherwise the assessing officer will cancel your registration in suo Moto for not filing returns more than 6 months. If you had filed these returns before September then there will be no late fee nor penalty. But in this case you have to pay late fee..which will up to 10000 and perday 20 Rs. file your returns then file your annual return then file cancellation and then file final return. by following this procedure you can close your firm.
