my ipcc is due this may 2011 nd i havent strtd wth SM & IT nd AUDIT till now ......can any plz advice me whether i shud go for both the groups or jst group 1........
also if i jst go for group 1 nd clear it , will i get articleship in some good firm???,,,,,,,please advice me on this ....
Think like this, if you don't clear any of the groups if you appear for both groups, what happens? does clearing just one group make more sense than this? How's your preparation of group 1 papers?
Assess yourself, are you thorough with group 1? if so go for remaining 2 papers. There is sufficient time to cover IT/SM and Audit, if these are the only 2 papers left to do, and you are good with rest, go for both groups. Take as many mock tests as possible, yourself . Keep revising in regular intervals to brush your memory with the topics of all the subjects, i.e. to stay in touch.. As at times even though you have studied everything, you may forget something in exams.
Even with 1 group you should be able to get into good firms, demand for articles is exceeding supply, so don't worry. Getting good marks will certainly be advantageous.
Also, articleship is not the sole essence of the course.
