What is the meaning of "An EMPLOYEE is covered under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972" ?
Shouldn't the employer be covered under the Act instead of the employees?

there are certain conditions to be satisfied on part of both employer n employee to be covered under gratuity act. for example for employer to cover under gratuity act he should have employer prescribed no. of employees n in same way for employee to be eligible he should work continuously for specific days with that employer
