I have taken 243 leave uto 2 year training and after that i have taken transfer of articleship to new CA and i have taken 27 leave more.

So i will like to know that for excess leave calculation on proportionate basis OR in total (243+27) leave.

congrats buddy due to the move of the ICAI the students of PCC can now appear during the last 6 months of their articleship so if u are a pcc student u can sit in may 2010 now

calculate how many leaves were allowed for u

iam assuming u to be a pcc passed students

total period served = ( 365*3.5) - 270 = 1008

eligible leaves = 1008/6 = 168

excess leave = 102

so add 102 days to ur articleship completion date if it falls before 31st ocotber then u can sit in may 2011 if it falls before 30th april u can sit in NOVEMBER 2010 <br> REGARDS

Dear Frnds,

So does that mean that if my articleship is gettin over in Sept`11 then i can appear for my finals in May`11 being a student of PCC.

it would have been better if articleship was reduced to 3 years. Uttam agarwal had formed committee for that. They wont let go of cheap labour.

my 3.5 yrs articleship will complete on 31-1-2012...so am i eligible for nov 2011 exams??..

when will the official announcement regarding this matter be made by icai...

Helllo friends,

Its announed officially too. We can take up exam aft completion of 3 yrs of articles and we should be serving the last 6 months as on 1.11.2010. Also this is applicable for forthcoming exams.

Thanks to CAclucIndia i jus found the exam online link and wen i read the guidelines I was shocked and then approached Regional office and they were nt aware and were not ready to hear me and said to contact Delhi Office.

When i called Delhi Office till noon the reply was discussion going on..

Atlast my prayers and efforts were answere in the evening.:-)

Time is too short now to prepare but still will put our maxi effort and will take up exam friends.
