Gift taxable under salaries

Hi, any gift received from the employer above 5000 is taxable right? It doesn't matters if the same is for Birthday, anniversary or any other purpose? And if the same is in voucher, kind?
please guide me with reference to salaries head of income tax act.

Yeah, it is taxable in every case Above 5000.
