Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the possibility of a partner transferring their capital balance to their son within a partnership. It clarifies that such a gift from a father to a son is generally tax-exempt in the UK. However, it's crucial to review the partnership deed first, as the specific terms may influence the process and any potential tax implications depending on the nature of the transfer.

First you have to check your partnership deed. however, gift can be given by relative

Gift received from a relative is exempt from tax, like in this case gift in the form of transfer of capital by father to son in a partnership business shall not be taxable. But the Tax Implication will depend upon what is the purpose of transfer and whether the transfer is fully or partially.
