I have been filing returns online for some years now. My last three returns have been filed from three different addresses due to excigencies of service. I have been giving complete bank account details in IT returns still the refunds for AY 2008-09 & 2009-10 were sent as cheques to me. Which were returned due to address being changed. I filed my last return from N Delhi on 2nd Jul 2011. The jurisdiction of my PAN as reflected on IT website is Lucknow. My queries are:
a. How do I now get the cheques released.
b. Who should I approach ITO Lucknow or ITO New Delhi.
c. Would the address be automatically updated as per the latest IT Return.
d. Will the IT Dept fwd the cheques again on the new address or I will have to apply for it.
e. Can I ask for credit through ECS now again.
f. The SBI refund management has replied that they cannot releass or resend the cheques till ITO tells them.
