Income Tax Department has introduced EVC system through which you can e-Verify your Income Tax Returns so that you don't have to send the physically signed copy of ITR-V (Acknowledgement) to Bengaluru, Central Processing Centre.

Specified banks provide access to https://Incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in “My Account” of the assessee through their Netbanking facility. The Banks will provide this facility to the account holders whose Bank account have a valid PAN number as part of the ‘Know Your Client’ (KYC) and who registered for the NetBanking facility.

1. The assessee will have to click on the ‘e-filing Login through Netbanking’ on the login page of https://Incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Choose from the list of specified bank and login to the net banking facility using your login id and password.

2. Once you are logged in, you have to e-File your return first. Once you’ve e-filed, go to “My Account” and click on e-Filed Return/Forms.

3. Next you will see a list of all the returns you have e-Filed. On the top of that list you will find a tab called “Click here to view your returns pending for e-Verification”. Click on that tab and you will find a list of returns pending for e-Verification.

4. Click on the link e-Verify against the Return that has been uploaded. You return will be e-Verified and the process will be complete

5. Once you have e-Verified, you just have to save the acknowledgement and that it. You will not be required to send the signed copy of ITR-V to Bengaluru CPC.

if  ADHAR  Card is Linked to ur PAN then easier. OTP comes to ur mobile given in AADHAR. Just fill the one time password  and it is e-verified.

Most peoples mobile is not updated in aadhaar and if they dont have a net banking, they will have to follow old system but this is a  great move.

I have a aadhar card but my number on that is not being updated and secondly I don't have net banking activated in my bank account . will there be any consequences if I pick " no" in itr section asking for aadhar card even though I have

Below 5 lakhs  only Mobile phone and email registered with Efiling is sufficient.

Above 5 lakhs and in case of refunds only AAdhar based mobile linked to PAN will get OTP

or Netbanking thro Efiling is Ok

If none of the above send ITR-V signed by taxpayer  by speed post.
