When you are in full time employment and you apply for COP you will get Part Time COP from the institute. However, Part time COP has no value for Chartered Accountant. You will not get any signing power. However, as soon as you cease to be employment you can just inform Institute to update the status of your COP to Full time.

WHAT IS THE POWER TO PART TIME COP ???????

It is of no use... You only pay COP fees to the institute... One benefit I can tell you is that you can enter into partnership firm or you can setup your own firm as well... However, you will not enjoy any signing powers... You can't sign audit reports nor u can do any certification work...

SIR YE SAB FAQ KAHA PADHNE MILEGE HUME ????

PROVIDE LINK IF POSSIBLE ???????????

Don't know... I am telling you from what i did in past...

sir

by obtaining part time COP  for specified period of time, can we obtain FCA status

cop is not required (whether part time or full time) to be fca. To be an FCA, you shall be the member of the ICAI for 5 years.

that means member's in service after 5 years if they start practise they can directly be called as FCA  ?

No.........

can u please illustrate for attaining FCA status...Thanks

thanku for valid information, but i want to know one more thing and too urgently that i want to convert my part time cop to full time , is there any precribed form for this or not , or it simply requires a simple application informing that i have resigned from my previous job, thanx

There is no prescribed form... just post a query on E-sah
