Frustrated jobless

 Even i'm in the same situation..

Hi Friends,

There are so many jobs in India as well as in abroad, only solution is apply for jobs online. Gone are the days finding advertisements in news papers and employers searching for CA's through personal references. CA has its own value forever. If any employer offering 5K or 10K means that is their foolishness and don't know the value of CA. Try with in one month you will get jobs, more over companies will appoint now for finalisation of their books. Best of luck.

Its pathetic to hear this situation for a CA candidates!!! Since I am working abroad, I was not knowing the situation of a CA in india. I would suggest you to apply job in abroad, lot many jobs are there in gulf also, they are looking for CA's. I am sharing some of the known websited to upload your CV...

hi,

i totally agree to the views presented above. even i am facing the same hardship and it really is frustrating to sit at home jobless holding in hand a degree as valuable as that of a CA. I wish something could be done to make this time bearable..

why don't you start your practice? is there not any scope in that too??

Hope is an important factor in a man's life. A hopeless fellow is a helpless person.

Even God cannot help a man without Hope. Faith is the substance of things Hoped for and without Faith you can't please God. So it is important for you to keep your Hope alive. Faith can't do anything until Hope is established.

I wonder what you can do without God. Now has God promised you something and you think the time is passing and seems it won’t happen. Our confidence is that God be of good cheer because God is faithful, He is not a man to lie or a son
of man to change His mind. He is never late.

Keep hope alive as long as you're alive. The few days are too much for God to do what he has promised you this journey.

Mr. Roshan - There is no reference / channel required for working in abroad. My case, I have uploaded the CV in the Naukri / Monster job websites. Got a call from consultant and interview was fixed in India. My CFO intereveiwed and got selected. I had passport in my hand and company will process the visa based on the selection and joined within a two month from interview date.

Hence the procedure is very normal as other interviews, No reference / channel required for the same.

If you feel opportunties not knocking your door, try some alternatives like applying for practise and taking coaching classes ; joining with a local audit firm ; doing any other value added courses etc.

Openings are always there, they just need to be properly regulated and organised regarding which our Stupid ICAI always fails ..    

In today’s time ICAI membership only is not enough. For getting quick job after receiving ICAI  membership following practical things are necessary:

1. More than basic understanding of accounting
2. Good knowledge of Tally, SAP, IFRS, MIS working environment.
3. Understanding of working as a finance part
4. Good and practical knowledge of Taxation
5. Positive attitude

Kindly appreciate if you are a new CA and have no knowledge of Tally or SAP or Taxation, then tell me why should I recruit you? You are good for nothing for me.

Recently we had recruited 2 people (non CA but with good knowledge of SAP and ERP) in our finance deptt. at a package of 3.6 and 4.8 lacs P.A. and both were chosen over Chartered Accountants, having no knowledge of SAP and ERP.  

It is high time for us to understand the fact that membership of ICAI and ICSI is no guarantee of good job or rather I would say good paying job. So for a better career it is must to focus on good articleship.

This all fuss is created because of a bit less compensation offered to professionals. As per my experience still membership of ICAI and ICSI is a guarantee of good quality job. This job may be a less financially sound job but will surely pave way for long term financial and personal success.

So my suggestion would be along with doing CA keep learning other practical courses like tally, SAP, ERP etc and be an expert of all this for better career.

the situation is not that bad as you are depicting in the discussion. you are not trying properly.

first of all, prepare a good cv shoing you fulll competancies

just upload you Cv online and apply regularly to matching jobs .

it will take  a month or two to get the job.

have patience friends.

I hve heard some 11000 CAs have been passed out in Nov'12 attempt. Isthis true??

If it is then definitely this is difficult to get job.

Hey Mr.Ronak plese stop spreading all these rumours.Even a peon in our office earns more than 5000 p.m. and he is also a fresher and just 12th pass.

I know many people are not getting jobs but this is too much.

Moreover i would like to inform all out there that Mr.Ronak has just created his account and that too on 1st April.

Please dont pay attention to all these baseless rumours.
