Freight will charge on what?

How to charge Freight on tax Invoice?

Basic Amt - 100, GST - 18%, Freight - 8%

So Freight will charge on total value or basic value?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how freight charges should be applied to tax invoices, particularly concerning Goods and Services Tax (GST). The consensus is that freight is typically calculated as a percentage of the basic value of goods. GST is then applied to the combined total of the basic amount and the freight charge, ensuring accurate tax calculations for composite supplies.

Usually it would mean 8% of basic value.

That is, Basic 100, Freight 8, GST on 118

Yes GST on 108
If the freight mentioned on the bill then the GST rate should be applicable the rate of principal goods on bill.
(Reference Section 8 , Composit supply)
Freight should be charged on 100 rupees
