Form 16b for my ex-serviceman (pensioner)

Efiling 507 views 1 replies

My dad is an ex-service man, who is now recieving pension from bank. He had invested his after retirement money in a FD in bank.

While it matured around 10k was deducted as TDS, now to get this back i must file ITR. For this I should be needing Form16B.

Who can provide me Form16B?? Should i approach the bank where my dad's pension is credited? I tried registering in TRACES and that has been a big pain. So looking for alternatives. Thanks in advance :)

Form16b is the calculation that you yourself have to prepare. There are online excel sheets available. you can use that. form 16 b is the details of income an deductions and your tax liability.
