Form 16 for the f.y: 2013-14

TDS 827 views 5 replies

Dear Sir / Madam,

We have filed eTDS return for Q1 (Nil TDS return) , .Q3   & Q4   for F.Y: 2013-14 having TDS figure.

There was no TDS in  Q2 and hence no E-TDS return. (Nil TDS return is not possible form Q2 for F.Y: 2013-14) For this we have filed non-filing declaration for 2nd quarter.

Also note that our employees were not liable to TDS upto 30/09/2013.

We have reported full annual salary to our employees for the whole year in annexure II of Q4, F.Y; 2013-14

Form 16 downloaded from Traces shows salary payment only for Q1, Q3 & Q4 of F.Y: 2013-14.

 Regards

Mahendra

Sir,

As far as i know there is no need to issue Form16 (Part-A) to those deductee's for which no TDS have been deducted in the whole F.Y. You can issue Form 16 (Part-B) only.

Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot.

Please clarify whether Form 16 (Part A & Part B) both will be issued to our employess for whom e-TDS return is made for Q1, Q3 & Q4 (excluding Q2 nil TDS ). If so there will be mismatch of salary paid as per Part A and Part B of Form 16.

Part B will show higher salary paid and Part A will show lower salary paid.

Mahendra.

Sir,

Part-A is considered mainly just for TDS credit. The amount which mentioned in Part-A doesn't really matters. So just be sure to check the TDS Amount from Part-A and Salary from Part-B. Part-B is mainly for Salary+Deductions(Savings).

Hope it helps.

THANK YOU. It is realy helpful.

Mahendra

AGREED WITH SAHIL ARORA

JUST MENTION FULL AMOUNT OF SALARY IN PART B OF FORM 16 IRRESPECTIVE OF FACT THAT PART A IS SHOWING LESS AMOUNT OF SALARY.
