My form 16A and form 26AS match in salary and TDS but the salary amount shown is wrong. If I file my income tax with this form 16A I will have to pay more tax and will the IT department flag my income tax return.

See the bank statement and reconciliation with the salary statement

Income tax deducted and advance amount is deducted by employer .
there are two columns
1. amount paid or credited
2. amount deducted.
Try to understand form 16 as given to you.

In my case salary shown in 26 as is less...can i claim refund by showing 26 as salary and not salary from form 16 ?
You will show as perform16 salary not 26as
Or reconciliation of form 16 andbank statement salary
Then took the right one or you get a notice
As form 16 salary is autopopulated being with itr department
